Achievements

  • Formed Twin Falls Geo LLC in the State of Texas in 2020.
  • Personally built the company website: twinfallsgeo.com
  • Currently evaluating a range of log-analysis, mapping, and data-analysis tools.
  • Geologic interpretation and Subsurface mapping services offered.
  • Led a team of experienced geologists who provided resource assessments and reservoir characterization for field development and A&D. Each project had unique requirements for data-acquisition, well planning, and production optimization.  The team added reserves and increased production in parts of all three assets – while simultaneously reducing rig count and decreasing capital budget.
  • Delivered a core-analysis program that identified the ideal Bakken target interval (based on HCPV and brittleness) and mapped same over hundreds of square miles.
  • Led geology operations for a 10-rig drilling program that drilled over 100 wells.
  • Personally geosteered more than 50 wells.
  • Recognized that a continuous oil accumulation would require a new way of characterizing and high-grading acreage. Proposed and implemented a multidisciplinary database of well and reservoir properties.  Among other things, the multidisciplinary database pointed toward some better, and at the time untested, acreage.  The new acreage delivered high value.
  • Provided expert geologic testimony in a North Dakota court to prevail in a multi-million-dollar depth-severance dispute.
  • Provided structural and stratigraphic interpretation, well-planning, and geologic operations for deepwater development wells in Green Canyon. $550k/day, 6000ft of water, deviated wells with multiple reservoir targets.
  • Built 3D stratigraphic/structural models and geocellular grids for fault-seal analysis, well planning, and reservoir simulation.
  • Provided well planning and geology operations, for 30 oil-production and gas-injection wells; oversaw coring and core sampling operations, and described natural fractures, in six cores. Interpreted ~100-meter missing sections in uphole intervals of existing wells, and proposed a halokinetic model for explaining the large fault displacements.  The results improved well prognoses and reduced drilling costs.
  • Oversaw drilling and delivered lithologic descriptions for dozens of water-monitoring wells in Texas and Utah.
  • Provided waste-management review and recommendations for clients.
